What is Mario Party?

Mario Party is a party video game series featuring characters from the Mario franchise in which up to four local players or COM characters compete in a board game with random minigames.

Gameplay:

All Mario Party games are similar to board games; you roll a dice and instead of who reaches the end the fastest , its who has the most mini stars after all the turns are over.

Party Modes:

• Classic party

The players ride in a car, trying to get to the end and collecting the most Mini Stars.

• Bowser Party

Bowser Party is similar to Classic Party but with the players trying to run from the GamePad player, who is Bowser. The goal is for the car to reach the end of the board while the GamePad player wants to take away all of the car player’s hearts. Each player rolls before Bowser’s turn and Bowser gets to roll 4 dice and one reroll if he rolls poorly enough. Once he catches the players, he initiates a Bowser minigame where the car players have to survive Bowser’s wrath.

• Amiibo party

The players use certain amiibo as pawns to go around the board. Each amiibo unlocks a board and can be equipped with power-up tokens to use in a game. At the end of each turn, a minigame is played. The board can change mid-game with picking certain character tokens to replace one of the sections of the board.

Game Boards:

• Mushroom Park

A simple game board best for beginners.

• Haunted Trail

A haunted game board but there’s a catch, you cannot see where you are heading on the map and one wrong turn can send you back to the beginning.

• Whimsical Waters

An underwater game board.

• Airship Central

An airship game board and the ships switch out often.

• Chaos Castle

A bowser castle game board that has a bunch of tricks and traps that can knock you back.

Save the Yoshis!

One Magikoopa, named Kamek is after the yoshis and is turning them into woolly yarn. It’s up to Yoshi and his bud Poochy to save their fellow yoshi friends to save the day!

Gameplay

• You can play with up to 2 players or solo mode.
• The player can use classic or mellow mode (mellow mode allows yoshi to fly for a more relaxed experience)
• you can also choose your yarn throwing style (Patient or Hasty)
• Travel as Yarn Yoshi and Poochy through a hand crafted world, Unravel secrets, toss yarn to weave platforms, and find all yarns to earn new playable yoshis. Wii U version offers 55 stages and Nintendo 3DS has new exclusive content.
• Collect all smiley flowers to unlock a secret level on each world.

Characters

• Yoshi

The green lovable dinosaur, that is determined to save his friends. He will keep fighting no matter what. Whether he is throwing yarn balls or fighting enemies, he’ll always comes around.

• Poochy

Poochy is back and he can dodge stumps, mush down snowy paths, and reveal hidden shortcuts.

Minions/Bosses

• Wild Ptooie Piranha

These Green Piranha’s will throw Spiky pokey poms at you every chance they get.

• Pokey Pom

A green spiky ball that is ejected from the Wild Ptooie Piranha’s mouth.

• Tap-Tap

A snarky baseball covered in spikes that will waddle his way towards you.

• Frame Chomp

A metallic outline of a chain chomp that will chase after you until you wrap it up with a yarn ball.

• Monty Mole

A mischievous little mole that will pop out of walls and scurry after you.

• Bunsen the Hot Dog

A giant flaming dog who you will face off with in the second world (2-8)

• Fang

A little bat that will follow his own path until he spots you.

• Koopa Troopa

A turtle-like creature who’s button shell can do some ultimate damage.

• Clawdaddy

A coin purse with claws that scuttles back and forth; easiest to kill them with watermelon seeds.

There’s nothing better than some family bonding over a good video game. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is competitive fun for the whole family.

RENEGADE ROUNDUP

The most interesting one is Renegade Roundup because you can have one of two roles:

• Be one of The Renegades and try to escape
• Be part of The Authorities and try to capture The Renegades with Piranha Plants.

SHINE THIEF

The goal of the game is to retrieve the Shine Sprite and hold it for 20 seconds. Opponents can use items to make you drop the shiny star, but you can also defend yourself. When you have the star, your car will go slower.

COIN RUNNERS

Collect coins scattered through out the map; attack your opponents to make them drop their coins. Player with the most coins wins.

BOB-OMB BLAST

This game mode brings Bob-ombs into the match. Carry up to ten bombs and pop the balloons of your opponents.

BALLOON BATTLE

A classic game mode where you pop your opponents balloons; you can also steal balloons with some items. You now don’t lose the game after getting all your balloons popped but instead loose points and respawn.

Since Mario Kart was already previously released on the Wii U, there were rumors that nobody would buy it again and boy were they wrong. “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Nintendo Switch supposedly sold over one million copies worldwide in three days after launch,” according to Daniel Ahmad, an Analyst at Niko Partners.

Besides those ten new features you can also play with up to seven players in local wireless multiplayer or share the screen of the Nintendo Switch with up to three friends.

The remake battle mode will give long-time fans enjoyment; players will be able to experience this fabulous racing game in all its glory, starting with the single player campaign and making their way through 50cc, 100cc, 150cc, 200cc, and mirror.

Save The Sprixies Backstory

Bowser has been stealing Sprixies and putting them in jars. It’s up to Mario and his friends to rescue the Sprixies by finding their way through a new kingdom. Play solo or with up to three friends!

Characters

• Luigi

Luigi would never let his big brother, Mario go on an adventure like this alone. Use Luigi’s super jumping skills to hurdle high platforms.

• Mario

When Mario gets a call for help, he leaps into action. Help him make his way through challenges and tons of enemies.

• Princess Peach

This time, the princess is not being rescued. Her special floating ability helps her across any obstacle that comes her way.

• Toad

This little toad is up for any challenge. Use his fast running speed to get out of tough situations.

• Rosalina

Rosalina can be unlocked in level 2 of the star world and she has a special spin attack.

Gameplay

Players can jump in at any time to lend a hand or help find hidden star or compete for the most coins and win the crown at the end of each level.

Game pad

The touchscreen Game Pad gives you some special abilities. Tap the screen to freeze enemies, open doors, and reveal invisible objects. You can even change your point of view by tilting the Game Pad to reveal hidden areas with the move able camera.

Power-ups

• Double Trouble

Creates a clone of your character. If one of your clones is struck by an enemy it will disappear.

• Kitty Power

Pick a super bell to transform into a cat. Climb up walls to find secrets, pounce from in the air, and attack enemies with your claws.

• Superstar

Power through any area with total invincibility (but only for a short time).

• Mega Mushroom

Take one of these to become mega-sized Mario.

• Super Mushroom

Turn into the Super version of your character by catching one of these.

• Fire Flower

Shoot fireballs at minions using this handy flower.

• Boomerang Flower

Pick up this power-up to start tossing boomerangs.

• Super Leaf (tanooki)

Turn into a Tanooki to float during long jumps and spin your tail at bad guys.

• Invincible Super Leaf

Get past tough levels with the help of a Tanooki power-up and invincibility to attacks. Appears when the player is having trouble and loses a certain amount of lives. (five for one player, 12 for two players, 18 for three, and 24 for four) Invincibility disappears after level is completed.

• Cannon Box

Clear the way in a hurry by shooting cannonballs at enemies.

• Propeller Box

Fly up to hard-to-reach spots by jumping with this power-up.

• Clear Pipe

Travel through these to find secret areas and move quickly through a course.

What’s Happening

Captain Toad and Toadette take turns playing their way through courses to try and save each other and take back the power star that was rightfully their’s.

Characters

• Captain Toad

The leader of the famous Toad Brigade, and Toadette as they adventure their way forth through tough courses in hopes of finding the power star.

• Toadette

She always has her eyes on treasure, but has to save Toad every now and then.

• Toad Brigade

A string of three toads that are waiting to be found.

• Draggadon

A fire-breathing dragon inside a volcano that doesn’t like toads that mess with his treasure.

• Wingo

This giant bird always sticks his beak where it doesn’t belong and steals Toad/Toadette and the treasure.

• Goombas

These little brown mushrooms are well known and just waddle towards you when they see you.

• Shy Guys

Similar to goombas, but harder to outrun; kill them with a turnip or fall on top of them.

• Flaptors

These mean looking birds slam the ground if you stand underneath them, so try your best to not walk under them.

• Mud Trooper

Made of mud and will slowly sludge there way towards you with their glowing eyes. You can kill them by flashing a light on them or falling on top of them.

• Piranha Sprout

They Spit balls at you, you can pick them out of the ground and throw them or hit them with a turnip.

• Mummy Me

Its a mummy version of yourself that will chase you in certain levels.

Tips and Tricks

• Some parts of the course can move when you tap it or blow on the mic.
• Secret golden mushrooms and keys are hidden.
• you cannot jump as the player.
• you can move the camera with the joysticks to see where your going.
• Watch out for enemies and make your way to the star to complete the course.
• In TV Mode or Tabletop Mode, Player 1 controls Captain Toad or Toadette, while Player 2 points their Joy-Con controller to stop enemies, move objects, and help throw turnips.

Tools and Treasure

• Power Stars

Reach the power star to complete a course.

• Super Gems

These shimmering gems come in sets of three in each level, some of them get into difficult places. Can you find all of them?

• Coins

You don’t have to collect golden coins, but there is no reason not to.

• Super Pickaxe

This tool can be used to break through stone bricks and enemies for a limited amount of time.

• Double Cherry

This item allows you to make clones of yourself so you can be two places at once, your clones can disappear if struck by an enemy.

• Turnip

Since you cant jump on enemies, throwing these bad boys at enemies makes life a lot easier.

• Invincible Mushroom

If you lose enough lives you can earn a mushroom that gives you invincibility only for the remainder of that level.
